As a humanitarian community, our administration, faculty, researchers, and students strive for a world filled with greater peace, balance, cooperation, and the promise of an evolved human fellowship. Akamai continues to advance numerous programs dedicated to the advancement of the human community. Through our programs, we have seen many lives changed for the better.

Since 2003, we have been privileged to award more than 500 major scholarships worldwide, providing full or partial support for student research and academic projects. We have also offered tuition free training to over 175 students in the local East Hawaii community to help improve the lives of local residents. Our current community service efforts include development of re-integration training projects for inmates returning to the Hawaii community. We have also conducted tuition-free projects in parent effectiveness training, ans job readiness and employability training. Akamai has also helped to advance the frontiers of science and technology by supporting the publication of over cutting edge research papers spanning fourteen nations through our free academic journals.

The University continues to work to help make a difference in the lives of people while helping to educate future leaders in critical academic fields and in the vital importance of social responsibility. To support our mission for human advancement, we have designed world class programs in applied psychology and human services, business and economic development, ecological and environmental studies, education and literacy, health and wellness, sustainability, complementary therapies,and transpersonal psychology. These programs serve career professionals at the leading edge of professional development, serving to ameliorate major world problems and advance sustainable systems worldwide.

Continued outreach and institutional development is viewed as absolutely essential to help Akamai further its vital mission and expand its programs and services. As our institution has evolved and matured over the past eleven years, we have moved to explore several opportunities intended to make the University more visible and effective. One of the most important for the long term success and viability of the University is attainment of readiness for an effective approach to national accreditation. While we have made substantial progress, Akamai must continue in pursuing international recognition and quality partnerships.

In addition to the academic, institutional, and policy driven aspects associated with nationally recognized programs, financial stability of the University is a significant part of the process. In support of this effort, Akamai University has launched a campaign to raise $250,000 by December of 2013.

While a donation in any amount is welcome, those who are able to help support the University at the levels listed below will receive a special recognition in their honor. All donors unless requested otherwise will be publicly acknowledged and thanked trough the University’s newsletter and social networking.

• Platinum Sponsor: $10,000 +
  These donors will have their name and photograph on permanent display at Akamai University and will have an annual scholarship named in their honor or in honor of a person of their choosing.
  
• Gold Sponsor: $5,000 +
  These donors will have their name and photograph on permanent display at Akamai University.
  
• Silver Sponsor: $2,000 +
  These donors will have their name added to a donor’s plaque on permanent display at Akamai University.
  
• Bronze Sponsor: $500 +
  These donors will have their name added to a donor’s plaque on permanent display at Akamai University.
