INSTRUCTIONS FOR FACULTY APPLICATION
Faculty should review the information presented below before completing the referenced forms for submission to the University President. Only the minimum required documents should be submitted as part of the new application or continuing application.
Faculty Agreement
The faculty agreement clarifies the expectations for all faculty receiving an appointment with Akamai University. New faculty applicants submit the following supporting documents together with their signed agreement:
-Two letters of reference sent directly to the University
-A recent photograph suitable for website publishing
-Updated professional resume or CV
-A brief biographical sketch of 150 words written in third person
-Educational transcripts of highest degree directly from institution
Continuing faculty submit updates to the above listed information, as appropriate, to maintain current their files with the University.
New faculty applications may be submitted for consideration at any time during the calendar year. Faculty agreements expire annually and continuing faculty submit the agreement for renewal each year before the 15th of January.
Only the pages containing a faculty member's personal information need be submitted. Faculty may send by scanned email attachment, fax, or in hard copy by post or courier.

Code of Nondiscrimination
This document presents the standards of nondiscrimination upheld by the University. As part of the stipulations agreed to at Akamai University, all faculty agree to conduct themselves in full accord with this code of nondiscrimination in all aspects of the association with Akamai University, its students and faculty, and its friends and associates.

Faculty Biography Sheet
This document is used by faculty to submit their essential contact information, their photograph, certain background information on career and training, and the brief biographical sketch for Internet use. This form is submitted in electronic format and permits the University to gather minimum information for its faculty database.

Faculty Affidavit of Understanding
This form is used by faculty as an affidavit to swear agreement with all stipulations within the listed documents made part of the faculty agreement. Faculty agree to conduct their affairs at the University according to these published stipulations, as written, and as they may be modified in the future to comply with legal statutes, accreditation standards and policies, and concerns for the effectiveness of the University worldwide.

MINIMUM DOCUMENTS FOR SUBMISSION
New Faculty Applications
Faculty are expected to submit the following documents and materials as an initial application for appointment to Akamai University adjunct faculty:
Signed Faculty Agreement, Page 1 and 10
Faculty Biography Sheet
Faculty Affidavit of Understanding
Updated resume or CV
Updated brief biographical sketch under 150 words written in third person
Recent photograph suitable for online publication
Verification of graduate degree awards
Two letters of reference related to your professional achievements
Continuing Faculty Applications
Continuing faculty submit the following updated materials annually before the 15th day of January:
Signed Faculty Agreement, Page 1 and 10
Updated Faculty Biography Sheet
Faculty Affidavit of Understanding
Updated resume or CV, if needed to update document on file
Updated brief biographical sketch under 150 words written in third person, if necessary to update document on file
Recent photograph suitable for online publication, if necessary to update document on file
Verification of graduate degree awards, if new degrees achieved
